MEETING The dynamics of rapid economic growth in which we are immersed, it is becoming increasingly clear that one of the major challenges we must overcome to bolster the country's competitiveness and achieving development that we aspire to, is about building a quality education for all Peruvians.
This task is particularly urgent if we consider the enormous gaps in basic skills of our students continue to record, despite the significant efforts and modest improvements in recent years. Without a comprehensive approach to educational problems will not be able to maximize our potential and build the foundations of an economy capable of generating prosperity for its citizens on the basis of innovation and knowledge.
Building a quality education for competitiveness can not be left to the state, but requires the co-coordinated by teachers, parents, civil society organizations and entrepreneurs. The latter can and should play an active role in the process of educational transformation, not only because of the capabilities that can contribute to the effort, but also in consideration of the importance that it is instrumental to his work.
In that sense, IPAE institution linked to education since its foundation, both in mission and in their daily activities, decided to carry out annually by the Education CADE, CADE like Business-to promote initiatives to improve education and business link to the search for solutions to the complex problems of the sector.
Under it, next April 28 will be held the third edition of the Education CADE 2011 entitled "Towards Quality Education for All." The event will the participation of a large group of national and foreign experts directly incorporate the participation of entrepreneurs in various roundtable discussions. Presentations and discussions will allow attendees to reach a broad and thorough understanding of the challenges posed by educational improvement in the country.
Equally important, considering the current political situation, it is expected to attend the two finalists that will measure forces in the second round. Thus, the event will provide for detailed concrete proposals for educational policies that would implement both presidential hopefuls to win elections.
IPAE like to invite entrepreneurs, executives, professionals, academics and civil society representatives to participate in this important collective reflection effort that seeks to promote the construction of a quality education for all in Peru.
Sincerely,
Pablo de la Flor
